FSC chain-of-custody tracks FSC certified timber material through the whole process – from the forest to the consumer, including all stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution.
Only FSC chain-of-custody certified operations are allowed to label products with the FSC trademarks.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization established only to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. Nowadays there are over 460 FSC members from 60 different countries all over the globe. FSC certification provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers as well as businesses to make purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment as well as providing ongoing business value.
